Bible Fest 2011
Among the first grants issued by the Foundation was to support the Bible Fest 2011 which brought together participants from several parishes in the Panama City area Aug. 20 and 21. Joan Weber of the Center for Ministry Development facilitated as participants actively engaged in learning about Scripture and how to better use the Bible to pray with their families. Bible Fest was sponsored in part by a grant from the Catholic Foundation of Northwest Florida the Department of Pastoral Ministries of the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee and by the parishes of Our Lady of the Rosary, Holy Cross, St. Francis of Assisi, Our Lady Queen of Peace, St. Dominic, Sts. Peter and Paul, St. Bernadette and St. John the Evangelist. Additional Bible Fests are planned for Spring 2012.
